Dream On Media was founded by Emily Nitz Woods, for the purpose of sharing inspirational messages learned from her own personal experiences as she successfully confronted a deadly disease and became a modern medical miracle.

Emily is a single mother who lives with an autoimmune disease called scleroderma, a rare disease, mostly affecting women. This disease is similar to rheumatoid arthritis and lupus in which the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues, causes thickening and tightening of the skin and can affect internal organs.

Ms. Woods realized she was dying. Doctors left her with little hope and fewer options. Time was critical; but fortunately, through determination and research she discovered an experimental treatment involving stem cells, showing promising results with autoimmune diseases. Weeks later she checked into Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, and had an autologous stem cell transplant (using her own stem cells), along with high doses of chemotherapy. Emily felt that the encouragement and support of family and friends, along with her faith, prayers, and positive attitude, has led her to where she is today – humbled and thankful for the new life she now has.
